• Pupils draw the rank-size-distribution of Canada and Germany in a graph. They can use the working sheet, type the numbers into an Excel sheet and draw their own graphs.
• Answering the quiz, questions 1 and 3

• Characterisation of the functional specialisation of the four following cities: Frankfurt , Hamburg, Toronto and Vancouver
• Summary of the main characteristics of the towns in a table and compare the results.

• The class will be divided into small groups. Each group discusses one town regarding their main headquarters and the distribution of different branches. To answer the questions pupils can browse independently through the homepages of the cities.
